NUTRITIOUS DIET MATTERS

It is a bright new year for me as I step into the odd 30s today.  The day dawn was as fresh a lily.  To beat the heat of May, Summer camps are conducted and kids below 14 preoccupy the play ground and make it look a merry go beauty.

I reached play ground early in the morning and when I looked at athletes who run 8 to 10 rounds (4kms) in the Stadium, it was a swirl back of my own memories of 1996-98. Then I was 16 years of age and I was coached well in athletics by one Mr. Nagarajan, I was attached along with State and National athletes & during practice session, we  run 8-10-12 kms daily on Red hills road. This was our regular routinue followed by beech run in the Marina beech and hill run in Trisulam hills during weekends. After my higher secondary studies I returned to my home town and kept practicing and this time the distance of my run reduced to 3-5 kms and it continued till 2001. Suddenly I was diagonised for back pain and the same was attributed to ill-nutritious diet. I  was advised good rest with few therapies by renowned doctors. After a year I re-commenced my jog and this time it was for 2kms and the distance was tightly stuck till 2009. I did intake good food now but I fell prey to the same ailment, I had to rest myself atleast for a year. I am again knocking the door of the early dawn and my most loved playground in 2011 but now I can hardly run a km without back strain.

I put forth the above here for my fellow friends/ athletes at younger age,  to learn that nutritious diet intake  is much more essential during the rigorous practise session.

I am obese now and I am fighting hard to bring my-self back. Can I ? Yes - But it might take time. Still what has the  past done to my physique?  Even a single hour 'stand and work' will put me into trouble. Believe me  I am just entering my 30s, so friends diet is far more important and see that it is nutritious. In our tender age many of us try to prove our mettle and forget the all important health. And when we start thinking of good health it will be by-gone.

  8. Friends, today morning I went for jog and instead of walk ,I jogged slow for 1km and after normal workouts I tried to run three curves of 100mts each (they weren't in my schedule). I wanted to do stretching soon after that but I went blank and almost lost out in dehydration and exhaustion. I managed to drive in my passion pro and reached home safe and as soon as I arrived I had some water and fell to ground. I recovered only after 20 odd min. What is this?? So beware friends.
